2018 Summer Sweater Challenge – For those who got really tired of being cold this winter.  We are starting a summer sweater knitting challenge.  We want to be prepared for next year.  You are welcome to knit on these projects during the times posted above.  Call of you have questions.

  • For each sweater you finish between May 1st and August 31st, that is made out of yarn purchased at Knit Your Dreams, you get one entry into a drawing for prizes. (If you already have the yarn for your sweater from Knit Your Dreams in your stash, just show me the receipt or remind me of when you bought it so I can look it up.)
  • It can be an adult or child’s sweater.
  • The sweater can already be in progress on May 1st, but can’t be finished.
  • The drawing will be held Saturday, September 1st.  You do not have to be present to win.
  • There will be three prizes with the grand prize being a $50.00 gift certificate to Knit Your Dreams.

Class Policies:

  • Class space is limited so reservations are a must.
  • Classes require homework be completed before the next scheduled class.  If you know that you will be unable to complete the homework, you should wait until the class is offered again.
  • If you will not be able to attend all of the sessions, make up classes are not guaranteed.
  • Each class is based on a specific project or list of skills.  If you complete the project or master the skills early, the class will be released early.
  • Class attendees MUST select the materials for their projects prior to the beginning of the first class, so that classes will start on time.  If  yarn purchased for class is in hanks, it must be wound into balls or cakes before class starts.
  • Yarn for classes MUST be purchased at Knit Your Dreams.
  • To avoid distractions and allow everyone to focus on the class, please do not bring others with you who will not be participating in the class.
  • If you are ill, or have an ill child home from school, "PLEASE" call and schedule a make-up class.
  • Please silence your cellphone while you are in the classroom.
 Project Assistance Policy:
Assistance will be given depending on how busy the shop is.  If you need help on a project, please call ahead to make sure you won’t be interrupting a class and that someone will be available that can help with your type of project.  If the yarn you are using for a project was not purchased at Knit Your Dreams, there will be a $5.00 fee for assistance.  If I need to spend a lengthy amount of time helping you (over 30 minutes), there may be a $5.00 fee, regardless of where the yarn was purchased.
