Just a reminder that the shop will be CLOSED on Friday, June 11th and Saturday, June 12th. It will reopen on Tuesday, June 15th. Come in next week and find out what was new at the yarn market.
Bear Creek from Kraemer has come in. It is a super bulky wool. I made a cute hat out of it. Works up fast on size 15 needles! New wooden shawl pins have also come in.

Spring fever has hit Knit Your Dreams. The trees have been blooming and the greenhouses are filled with beautiful flowers. They make me think of colors for spring and summer sweaters. I’m ready to start knitting some cotton projects. I have recently become addicted to top down sweaters. I love that the only sewing I have to do is putting on the buttons. Being able to try on a sweater as I knit, to insure that it fits the way I want, is a real plus. We have several nice new books on top down sweaters (both cardigans and pullovers). There are lots of other nice new yarns and patterns in the shop. I’ve listed some of the new shop models below. Stop in and see them!

NEW!:

New sock yarn colors for spring and summer have come in
Naturally Colourwork. A thick and thin yarn with interesting sweater patterns.
Cascade’s Ultra Pima. A DK weight Pima Cotton that doesn’t stay on the shelf long. It is very popular for spring and summer sweaters.
New colors of Cascade Sierra. A worsted weight 80 % cotton 20 % wool blend that also makes beautiful sweaters.
Kraemer’s Sterling Silk and Silver. A new sock weight yarn that contains silk, wool, nylon, and silver. It’s almost to pretty for socks.In addition to regular Addi Clicks, I will hopefully soon have the Addi Lace Clicks.

Project Assistance Policy:

Assistance will be given depending on how busy the shop is. If you need help on a project, please call ahead to make sure you won’t be interrupting a class. If the yarn you are using for a project was not purchased at Knit Your Dreams, there will be a $5.00 fee for assistance. If I need to spend a lengthy amount of time helping you (over 30 minutes), there may be a $5.00 fee charged per hour, regardless of where the yarn was purchased.
